FADE TO BLACK getting re-issued on 9/24!

Looks like Paramount now has the rights.

Expect an uncut, feature-laden release.

Amazon pre-order:

http://www.amazon.com/Fade-to-Black/...=fade+to+black

It lists Warner Home Video as the distributor. Either a mistake or part of their deal with Paramount? :/

UPDATE: Now here's something weird, Warner Shop has it listed too, but they state it was released in 2004:

UPDATE 2: OK, I'm looking at the DVDEmpire link again, obviously WB made a mistake with the film's date.

Underrated movie, I'm a fan.

Good for those who don't have the Anchor Bay.

Their Tales from the Darkside reissue also lists the date of that edition as 2003 but lists Warner as a distributor on the back.

Awesome! I've been looking for the old AB release for ages!

CPT HOOK 07-21-2013 04:10 PM

Yes, I've been meaning to pick this up forever, but the Anchor Bay release is way too expensive.

I still have the novelization, but for some reason I never bought the movie.

Uhmmm... I actually think DVD Empire may have gotten it wrong.

Jay-Z - Fade to Black (2004)

It actually would make a lot more sense if Paramount were rereleasing this than if they suddenly got the rights to Fade to Black (1980).

Nailwraps 07-21-2013 08:14 PM

Yeah, that would make more sense (that and WBshop has 5.1 Surround listed). They really should be correct/specific with these titles.

CPT HOOK 07-21-2013 10:30 PM

Ugh... fuck Jay-Z.

why?

Bluenoser 07-22-2013 05:14 AM

For what it's worth, a reviewer wrote on amazon that this is a reissue of the Jay-Z dvd by Warner through their deal with Paramount. I certainly hope that's wrong though.

Myron Breck 07-22-2013 05:17 AM

Shit. Y'all had me going there for a minute. I remember really enjoying the 1980 movie, just before the DVD went out of print. I'd be more than happy to buy a copy if it ever comes out again. C'mon, Scream Factory! :)

Because his stupid concert dashed my hopes of a Fade To Black re-release.

And besides, didn't he name his kid Pineapple or something stupid and then try to trademark it? http://forum.blu-ray.com/images/smil...rted/crazy.gif
