TERROR BEYOND BELIEF!

A notorious horror classic returns in all its depraved glory. This infamous video nasty updated the classic Giallo blueprint for the gorified 80s, courting controversy and drenching the viewer in crimson arterial spray.

A razor-wielding psycho is stalking the horror writer Peter Neal, in Rome to promote his latest work, Tenebre. But the author isn’t the obsessive killer’s only target, the beautiful women who surround him are doomed as one by one, they fall victim to the murderer’s slashing blade…

Will fiction and reality blur as fear and madness take hold? Watch in terror as by turns the cast fall victim to the sadistic imagination of Dario Argento, Italy’s master of horror.

Let´s hope at least it´s like the French print.

Awesome. Will definitely have to wait for some reviews on the picture quality though.

Commentary with Alan Jones and Kim Newman. Sweet. If it's a new remaster then I might have to pick it up.

I'll have wait with bated breath to see what Synapse has in store for Tenebre and Phenomena. (And... cross my fingers... Suspiria)

Demoni 09-28-2013 11:57 PM

For those of you who love steelbooks I wouldn´wait too long after the pre-orders are up becuse it will be limited edition packaging.

I just want a great transfer of Suspiria on blu ray for North America so bad - it is one of the films that I really think could shine with the proper treatment

Any hope when its Phenomena's turn that we will finally see the bits that never make it into the 109-minute version? Even in the extras?

Gotta love this:

"It should be noted that though there have been significant improvements in regards to this new transfer, that the end result is something that still looks different then the French Blu-Ray release from Wild Side."

And doesn't bother to tell us exactly what the differences are.

Either way this transfer looks fantastic.

I definitely hate when reviews beat around the bush like that. They may as well not mention it if they're not going to elaborate on it.

Regardless, I'll be waiting for the Synapse release which I hope isn't too far away.

Really don´t understand your post. The review gives you have direct access to comparing screenshots of the three editions they mention and yet you say they may as well not mention it if they're not going to elaborate on it.

What´s more elaborate than us judging for ourselves.
And don´t wait too long as this is limited... just like Synapse´s Demons... only not that much expensive.
