Here Comes the Devil (2012)

Checked this out today and really enjoyed it. It's about a couple of kids who leave their parents to go up and explore these caves reminiscent of picnic at hanging rock. They don't come back till the next day, but they're acting strangely. This one felt like a real throwback of the Euro horror of the 70's. Some over the top twists and turns and gory scenes. It kept me entertained that's for sure. I would recommend checking it out.

I loved it. I checked it out based on a recommendation and don't regret watching it.

Highly Recommended!

The Blu-Ray is released tomorrow. I saw the review on DVDTalk: http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/63322...mes-the-devil/
and it's pretty glowing. Netflix already shipped the Blu Ray to me. Can't wait.

I liked this, but not as much as I was hoping I would. I liked some of the 70s cinematography styles they did, but I didn't realize the whole thing was more of a mystery film, ala Don't Look Now (I only glanced at the plot synopsis in the reviews I saw). So yeah, it was good, but it immediately got packed back in the red envelope and dropped in the mail.

I just got this from netflix as well and watched it yesterday, with much the same reaction. It was solidly entertaining, but not 'best of year good' for me. I don't expect that I'd watch it again.

I also had a similar reaction. It's a bit above average and certainly worth a look.

Congratulations to the guy in Here Comes the Devil who marries the world's blotchiest wife, both of whom are also up for horniest, worst parents. After leaving their children alone in a town where the street cleaners freeze in morbid ecstasy at the sight of bloody underwear from a menstruating teen (after peeking into the women's public restroom, because that's the only way a street cleaner can get off), the parents finger-bang in the car. With not a care in the world, they then take a snooze while the children investigate a giant, dark cave (VAGINA, the film announces). Once the polizia return the now distant, disaffected kids (sans bloody underwear), the parents bump bumpy faces again. It's all good on Serial Killer Hill!
