I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Godzilla will be number 1 for this year. :p (and yes, I realized I originally misspelled a word)

And I'm being sarcastic. I think we all know Godzilla will trump all horror/scifi movies this year. Hell, probably most mainstream films as well.

Going out on a limp? You’re not putting much faith in your prediction. :)

That sounds like a pretty lame bet. I just hope you don't use it as a crutch later on, when a great horror film does release.

That's a pretty big drop off in comparison to last year when every horror film that was released in the first three months debuted at number one at the box office. Outside of Godzilla, and maybe Purge 2, I don't see another horror film making big numbers for the studios this year.

Babadook #1. I'm really looking forward to that one.

But with more indie fare coming this year like Starry Eyes, Creep, Oculous and the aforementioned Babadook I'm guessing at more surprise sleeper hits for horror this year.

We certainly haven't got the studio horror pictures we had in 2013!

Babadook Trailer certainly looks promising. I'll be updating this thread once a month. I have a strong feeling that Victor Salva's Dark House will emerge in the IMDb top ten real soon. Lots of praise so far.

The Babadook looks linteresting. Is it coming to theaters nearby or is it a straight to video piece?

Every review of Dark House has been terrible!

I watched Dark House the other night and thought it was a decent watch. Instantly forgettable though.

Started off quite intruiging. Then went to shit, unfortunately. Pretty awful.

6.1/10 at IMDb though ;)

You're right Hellbilly! But Babadook is the number one rated horror
movie of this year on imdb, and it hadn't even got a release date yet!

and the Dark House rating dropped down to 5.1/10. Not a good sign ...

I'm really looking forward to Cooties. There was a little blub about it in the latest HorrorHound regarding upcoming horror movies and it sounds really fun.

I saw Raze last weekend at the New Beverly (the cast was there to introduce the film). I thought it was a fun little movie, but the ending could have been better.

Also really looking forward to Knights Of Badassdom, even though the reviews haven't been too great. Plus, I heard the studio recut the film from what Joe Lynch originally intended.
