You know, a real good friend of mine does video production. When he saw BWP, his exact words were, "I hated it. It looks like something I could have done with my video camera!"

Now, I loved the movie, for the EXACT SAME REASON! Instead of watching cute actresses with clever dialogue get chases, I felt like I was watching friends of mine. Ugly people, limited vocabulary, etc.

And this to me is why Blair Witch Project is such a love/hate movie. I mean, my friend got the exact same impression I did from it. To me, that made it scary as hell, to him, it's a cheap knock-off.

Some people like it, some people don't, and you'll never get people of one school of thought to change to the other.
