Unhappy Thank you Paramount (Friday the 13th)

While scanning through the Digital Bit's VSDA summary, they mentioned Paramount is possibly giving the Friday the 13th films with special editions.

If you can't do something right the first time.....

Ah, more cashola down the drain!

That's why I waited, It was bound to happen! But I know how you feel man, I've been burned with "normal" releases then the special/limited editions are rolled out. But you gotta admit this is Friday The 13th! Let's just hope they produce a "special" edition worthy of that name. They can easily fill the disc's up with audio commentaries, more theatrical trailers, tv spots, radio spots, the international promotional stuff, deleted scenes, ect.... Let's hope for the best...

Talking

What I *really* want is a box set of the same caliber as the Elm St. set.

The only thing I don't like about the NOES box set is that the films weren't uncut. NOES had lots of cool deleted scenes, 19 I think.

This whole Digital Bits rumor is bullshit. Paramount was brought the question to them and
what are they gonna say? "Uh no, they will continue to get bare bones treatment."
Paramount responded "We are taking it into consideration", which is the safe way out. Don't
expect anything from Paramount, people. Martin Blythe, who is in charge of what gets made
and released at Paramount is an ass!! I can link you to an article that would completely
debunk any thoughts you may have about SE Friday's.

So, I hope you've now lost any hope you may have had(just kidding).

go to fangoria.com then type in FRIDAY THE 13th...there is a link to the site about the pressuring and all that jazz about getting the box set in. The site that said to send letters during May so Paramount would pay attention.

I'm happy with all 10 of my Jason DVD's. Great Transfers and XI and X have nice docu's that keep me entertained. Besides, I must have spent $200 on all of those darn DVD's I love so much.
