Grapes of Death I thought was really good. It wasn't your average zombie film, nice amount of gore. Some find it a bit slow, but I thought it was really good.

I have read that Fascination is one of his best films, though I have not seen.

Well - I've posted on this before, so excuse me if I'm boring you. Living Dead Girl is quite horrid. However, Demoniacs is ar worse. I've stayed away from Rollins since. Therefore I have only seen those two.

Fascination is alright. I'm not a Rollin fan, but Fascination is above average compared to what I've seen.

I recommend Fascination if you liked Living Dead Girl. Those are the only two of his movies I've seen but I enjoyed both of them. Most of the others you've listed have been sitting in my Netflix queue forever now, but I always have something else to rent before them. But yeah out of those either Fascination or Grapes of Death, which I've heard good things about.

Grapes of Death is like a French remake of Night of the Living Dead with lots of zombies and beautiful French countryside. The main downpoint of the film is the poor quality of the gore effects.

Fascination is Rollin's best film in my opinion. It's the tale of two seductive yet dangerous women and a thief on the run who hides in their chateau. It has got the strongest storyline and acting of any of his films.

Lips of Blood also has a strong storyline and good acting, but it is a far more surreal film. The story revolves around a man trying to find an enigmatic woman trapped in a castle who he vaguely remembers from childhood. A lot of the film is shot at night in Paris which makes the film very atmospheric, but it is a little slow-paced.

I like Demoniacs, but the fact that the gorgeous Joelle Coeur is in it may be swaying my opinion somewhat. It's probably Rollin's most surreal film (with Fiancee of Dracula coming a close second). It's a very strange rape revenge story involving pacts with the devil, clowns and shipwreckers being attacked by statues of Jesus.

Requiem for a Vampire is another surreal film from Rollin. Two girls dressed as clowns are on the run from the police because of some unspecified crime they commited at a New Year's Eve party. They take refuge in a castle occupied by vampires and are forced to use their seductive charms to acquire new male victims for the vampires. It's a charmingly bizarre film, if a little slow.

Shiver of the Vampires is yet another surreal film from Rollin. It's probably one of his weakest too. It's about a newly-wed couple who visit the castle of a relative which turns out to be populated by vampires. It has its charms, but it is probably his most slow-paced film.

Other films by Rollin that are worth checking out if you like any of the above are...

Two Orphan Vampires (vaguely like "Heavenly Creatures", but with vampires")
Night of the Hunted (vaguely like Cronenbergs's "Shivers", no vampires)
Fiancee of Dracula (very strange indeed, lots of vampires and mad nuns)

Jeff you gotta get GRAPES OF DEATH. Fucking awesome movie, a lot like LET SLEEPING CORPSES LIE in that it's a bit slow but it's awesome. The French countryside rocks, and Brigette Laihee is one of the hottest women EVER. Theres a lot of gross gore, and the gun-toting Frenchmen kick ass. The DVD is awesome too, has one of the best interviews I've ever seen with Rollin. Haven't seen FASCINATION yet, but you gotta at least get this one as well.

Living Dead Girl and Grapes of Death are the only Rollin I've seen and own. They aren't masterpieces but they're down right watchable if you ask me. They both have creepy atmosphere and some "eye candy" of the female variety. If I were to recommend one it would be Grapes.

Here's one more vote for Grapes of Death. Nice to see a French take on the zombie genre, and yes, it has babe-licious moments. Beer drinkers to the rescue.

Man I still think you should check out GRAPES OF DEATH. While I love LIVING DEAD GIRL, it's really slow, and comes off as a 90-minute piece of artwork. GRAPES OF DEATH is a quicker paced movie with a lot of great stuff. Have you seen LET SLEEPING CORPSES LIE? It's a bit comparable to that, just in France with French people. And a really hot naked Brigette Laihee. Maybe you could rent it from Netflix or something, but I dunno if you do that.

Yeah I didn't like LSCL that much the first time I watched it but the second time I found myself loving it. GOD (heh) isn't as slow as that, it just has a lot of great locations and the whole "zombies from pesticides" thing going on.

I'm not sure why I'm so hell bent on getting you to see this. I didn't love it THAT much. Maybe I'm insane. Just don't kill me if you do get it and don't like it .
