Sam Raimi has confirmed it! Evil Dead 4, starring Bruce Campbell, written and directed by Raimi.

Also, a remake of Evil Dead 1&2 into one film, not starring Stifler (so far), produced by Ghost House Pictures.

Let's face it: I'll be seeing Part 4 when it comes out. So will you and you and you....with Raimi behind the camera and Campbell in front, it's kind of required viewing. Even if it sucks. And it might.

Uh, of course I'll be seeing it. This is great news. Well, the remake is questionable (what if it goes the PG-13 route?), but Evil Dead 4 is damn good news.

Takashi Miike should direct the remake.

That would definitely make me want to see it, and would really open the door for more Japanese filmmakers, something I've heard Raimi say he'd like to do.

Who knows how to get ahold of him, Tapert or Ghost House in general?
Anybody?

ED4 sounds like a bad idea but I'm sure I'll end up going. It would pretty much blow both endings of Army of Darkness though. Maybe they'll incorporate Bubba Ho-Tep by having the ED coming for Ash in a retirement home.

Funny how many times Sam and Bruce have denied this ever having a chance to happen. I'm still skepitcal as to if it is true.

I'm okay with the remake if this actually happens. With the remake he could probably get some more money and backing for ED4. I'm glad Sam Raimi hasn't turned into a huge douche after all.
