The Milpitas Monster (1975)

In a town called Milpitas ("Land Of 1000 Gardens") a 50 feet big monster created by local environmental pollution is on the loose stealing trash cans and leaving giant footprints behind. It's up to a few local kids and a Helicopter to stop this "threat" - the moment arrives when the town's beauty Priscilla is kidnapped by the creature at a School Dance ...

PG-rated Monster-cheese from the 70's that's part (supposly) comedy / part sci-fi horror. The Humor part: opening logo is a spoof on MGM ("Samuel Golden Ayer Presents!"). The Mutated Beast in question looks like a giant fly on two feet with glowing red eyes and a pair of transparent bat-like wings. It's mostly a guy in a suit but they also use miniatures and stop-motion effects. Makes a neat watch but don't expect too much ... the lack of unintentional humor, blood, gore and dead bodies kinda waters down the fun

Released on DVD by Trinity Home Entertainment retitled The Mutant Beast.
DVD menu shows a giant Octopus attacking a woman Image has VHS quality (originally filmed in widescreen, one noticed end credits cut off left and right) and the sound is kinda bad and jittery. Scene selection is the only 'extra'.

Sounds quite interesting Billy! I don't even remember hearing of this one before.

Trinity Home Entertainment seems to be on a downward spiral in their DVD quality. They were pretty good there for awhile, but DVD's like The Calendar Girl Murders look like well used VHS transfers.

I've never heard of this film before either but to be honest, I was fooled by the cover art thinking this was a recent film. However, it was pretty cheap (around $6).
Speaking of Trinity DVDs, I checked their site and noticed they are releasing Klondike Fever (1980) with Vanity aka DD Winters.

Love the cover with "City dump" in the background. I am sometimes in the mood for such nonsense, thanks for the heads up.

There's a still from this film in "The Psychotronic Encyclopedia of Film". The monster looks nothing like the creature on the cover; rather, it looks more like an out-of-shape, psychedelic Eeyore.
