Good Slasher Films

Recently I've been "blind buying" some slasher movies and I've really enjoyed a handful of them. Here are some of the ones I've seen/I own that I've liked a lot...

-The Prowler
-Intruder
-Black Christmas
-Just Before Dawn (If you can consider this a slasher...)
-Alone In The Dark
-Clownhouse
-Maniac
-Prom Night IV: Deliver Us From Evil
-Terror Train
-Tourist Trap

I'm looking for more to check out. Does any one have any recommendations? Or have I pretty much found the only good ones in existence? Thanks in advance.

The House On Sorority Row
The Initiation
If you don't mind cheese I'd suggest Terror At Tenkiller

The House On Sorority Row = good
Terror at Tenkiller = horrible, but possibly amusing if you can tolerate a movie made for like $200, I hated it though, but I can see where it could have some laugh value.

There's much more going on in Terror At Tenkiller then you might think ...
Terror At Tenkiller, an act of genius?

I know The Burning isn't available in R1, which is unfortunately the only way I can view movies. I don't have a region-free player nor do I have one that I can hack.

I own Silent Night, Deadly Night. House On Sorority Row is on order at work.

I'll look into The Initiation, To All a Good Night and Terror at Tenkiller.

With slashers, good is always in the eye of the beholder. (I like them good, and I like them bad and full of cheese.) That said, these come to mind...

April Fool's Day
The Funhouse
My Bloody Valentine
The House on Sorority Row
The Slumber Party Massacre
Stage Fright
Visiting Hours (coming soon to DVD)

I have seen April Fool's Day, The Funhouse and Slumber Party Massacre. I liked AFD all the way up until the ending, which I felt a little letdown. Funhouse & Slumber Party Massacre are still on my "To Buy" list.

I've been meaning to check out My Bloody Valentine and Stage Fright, but haven't yet. Now I definitely will.

After reading the multiple posts on Visiting Hours, I'll be apt to check that out too. Thanks!

You guys have listed a lot of really good ones, many of which I have on DVD.

Black Christmas
Alone in the Dark (1982)
Clownhouse
Terror Train
Tourist Trap
Silent Night, Deadly Night
The House on Sorority Row
April Fool's Day
The Funhouse
My Bloody Valentine

The Prowler sounds really good. I might order it soon.

I really wish The Town That Dreaded Sundown, Curtains, and The Burning would make their way to R1 DVD. Especially Sundown and Curtains.

Mother's Day is damn good, and MUCH better than either April Fool's Day or My Bloody Valentine.

Oh, I know you didn't mention it in your post, but I thought I'd say it one more time for everyone to hear: Final Exam is awful. Possibly the worst slasher ever made. It could have been great cheese, but instead it is just boring. Avoid!!
