Sorry, I also need help ID'ing a movie...

My girlfriend has been trying to remember the title for this horror movie she saw back in the day. Could be late 80's or early to mid 90's. She said it takes place in a castle, or part of it does anyway, and there is a scene where these girls (she think's there were two of them) have to swim across this lagoon in a cave by the castle, and this monster/creature is watching them.

That's all she remembers from it... Anyone know what it may be?

I talked to my girlfriend, and it may even be early than 80's, possibly even 70's or 60's. She said it had a very 'technicolour' feel to it, or at least the colours were very high contrast.

I don't know about the film you're looking for, but that Meridian has got me interested. I read the "external reviews" on imdb, and they were not very informative to say the least. 3 negative and 2 positive + a positive reader review on the imdb site. What is one to think? Hellbilly, have you seen it? Is it any good?

I liked it back in the days. It's not really horror, probably Full Moon's most "stylish" erotic film. That scene they mention in the IMDb comments are dead on though. An amazing filmed sequence, quite breathtaking and beautifully shot. The rest of the movie might drag but it has Sherilyn Fenn so it really wasn't that boring to me

I don't think this is it, but it could be When The Screaming Stops.

Sort of reminds me of The Howling 4 or 5....which ever one The Rebirth is. I could be completely wrong. I do know there is a castle with underground caves and they're all being stalked by the werewolf.

My first thought when you mentioned "bright colors" and "Takes place in a castle" was that Vincent Price flick Masque of the Red Death

That was it! I found a copy of it via Elvira's Movie Macabre line-up and me and my girlfriend watched it last night. She hadn't seen it since she was 4 and couldn't remember the title, she only remembered that one scene. Thanks for the help.

I'm actually fairly certain about it being Frankenstein's Castle of Freaks...
