will Interview Dario Argento.

I finally managed to convince my magazine to arrange an interview with Argento. I am writting this from Rome where I just have settled everything and I will interview the maestro in September.

Any good question? I mean, what question qould you like to see written on paper? I will translate it in english for all of you, of course.

Are there any other projects that he'd like to fulfill? Now the three mothers are done, does he feel he has any other loose ends?

And.... can't he just make the Four Flies DVD's himself and send me one.

Luiggi Cozzi explained me the situation.
Now, he says, Dario and Claudio Argento owns 50% of the film. But the other 50% is owned by Paramount. Paramount doesn't want to buy Argento's 50% because they don't want to release it (damn those fuckers). They don't even allow the subdivision of Paramount Italia to release it.
So the Argentos must find the money to buy the other 50% of the film, and Paramount, of course, asks for a shitload of money...

A wise choice Paramount made there. It's not like anyone's waiting for this film to be released

Channelling Ghostbusters, I would ask: "Are you a god?"

Then again, I would probably just sit and stare and have a stupid satisfied grin on my face.

Congratulations on the interview! You must of course translate it into English and post it here for our enjoyment!

I think I would die if I ever got to meet Argento. That is like a dream come true! I'm terrible at thinking up questions on the spot, but if any come to mind I will let you know!

You are so lucky!!!!

It may be a bit obvious but:

Are there any new or up-and-coming directors he admires?

Some say that works of art are never finished, just abandoned. If he could go back and change one thing about any of his films, which film would he choose and what would he change?

Oh, and I'd also ask him if he could autograph my 8x10 glossy of him with Claudio Simonetti.

Nice going securing this interview!

Yes, we should all send Chaoster a stack of pictures, discs, and posters, so Dario can sign them.

If nothing else, that should ensure it's a damn long interview.

Congrats on the interview.
Is it going to be in person or on the phone?

Either way, don't show up with stacks of stuff to get signed, not very professional.

I would like to know if there is any other genre of film he would like to take a stab at. Maybe a Western or Crime film?

As a screenwriter,Dario worked in several genres outside of horror,Euro Westerns, war films, even a romance. You might ask him if he ever hopes to work outside of the horror genre again, either as a writer or director.
Also,Argento was originally a film critic, and was one of the few Italian writers to champion Sergio Leone and Mario Bava(when they were still living and working). It would be interesting to know if any mainstream Italian critics have ever championed HIS work,or if the establishment is still dismissive of Italian genre directors.
