Lost Highway - Official R1 Disc announced!!
Here it is -- from DVDACTIVE.COM
Universal Home Video has announced a new edition of the 1997 film Lost Highway which stars Bill Pullman, Patricia Arquette, and Balthazar Getty. This David Lynch directed film will be available to own from the 25th March, and should retail at around $19.98. The film itself will be presented in anamorphic widescreen, along with an English Dolby Digital track. As far as we know, the only extra material on this one will be a 10-Part Multi-Angle Interview with David Lynch. Stay tuned for the official package artwork. It's too bad, I just got the french edition a month back. |

Awesome news! I haven't seen this movie in years. David Lynch is one of my favorite directors and my collection needs to be complete. Any bonus material will be welcome, but it's a given that Robert Blake won't be participating.
Thanks for passing this along!

So, basically it's about the same as the 2-disc imports... minus the DTS track?
I don't feel the need to buy it again then.

Speaking of Lynch, I'd like to see a new edition of Fire Walk With Me w/ the deleted footage. |

![]() And yeah, I have the R2 UK release for this, and it's just fine, plus has more extras. I doubt I'll buy the R1, even though I hope it sells pretty well to show Universal they were retards for sitting on it for so long. |

Good news for those shackled to R1 but I myself am content with my German disc. But if Universal releases this on HD-DVD I may just have to buy a player for it.

I don't know why people always act as if Lost Highway has never seen a DVD release here in the states. It has, and in fact, I saw a used copy for sale just the other day. Yeah, it's pan and scan so it's not exactly the most optimal choice, but it's a far cry from the likes of Phantasm II which hasn't available in ANY form here, ever!

that was a canadian release, not American, and has the shittiest transfer of a modern film I've ever seen. Plus the sound on that disc is all but in audible. I had the German disc, but now i don't and it is always welcome to have a nice domestic release with proper sound and aspect ratio at an affordable price

I have the German disc but I will be getting the R1 version for sure. It's one of my all time favourites.

I saw a new print of this theatrically earlier this year and really enjoyed it,I hadn't seen it since it first came out.An odd but hypnotic film, with a great soundtrack.I don't have any of the Euro versions,so I'll be happy to pick this one up.

In the immortal words of Homer Simpson "Woohoo!". This is one of my favorite Lynch films. Oh, and Robert Blake is one creepy son of a bitch...
