"Night Child" and "Exterminators of the year 3000" coming soon from Code Red!

Night Child is the Massimo Dallamano (Yay!) film "Il Medaglione Insanguinato" which is an Excorsist spin-off. A title I still need to pick up.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0073367/

"Exterminators of the year 3000" is "Gli sterminatori dell'anno 3000" by Giuliano Carnimeo. The one who also brought us "The Case of the Bloody Iris" 11 years before.

Up for pre-order are NIGHT CHILD (Il medaglione insanguinato, Massimo Dallamano 1975) and EXTERMINATORS OF THE YEAR 3000 (Gli sterminatori dell'anno 3000, Giuliano Carnimeo 1983). The release dates are September 7 and September 21. More info when available...

Although I think I'll buy the Italian DVD for Medaglione... that other one I might pick up. Looks like fun...

Night Child has a good 16x9 transfer, but unfortunately it's Interlaced. This is the first Code Red release that I've seen that's been Interlaced for quite some time...so that's perplexing.

The main menu looks like CRAP (literally), labelled as "Septic Cinema" with a port-o-pottie that falls over on the screen and then what looks like flowing diarrhea coming out of it. I'm being dead serious here too!

The only extras are the Richard Johnson interview that was already on the Beyond the Door DVD, the film's trailer and some other Code Red trailers.

I've defended Bill on more than one occasion, as have other people here. Constructive criticism and consumer feedback is one thing, but some of the criticism directed at Code Red has been venomous, personally directed, and in poor taste. I can understand why that would get to Bill. But this menu? Come on... Code Dead? A bitter comment on the financial state of the company? I bought this release to support Code Red... Should I take it personally that I get poop thrown in my face when the menu opens?

And if it's fecal theme is a comment on the quality of the movie itself, I'd venture that Horror High (or perhaps Night of the Dribbler) deserved it more.

I am still thankful for all the obscure titles that Code Red has brought us (my personal faves being Messiah of Evil, The Unseen, and Sole Survivor), but this makes me sad...

i am flabbergasted by this menu. whats the story? code red is contractually obligated to use this menu scheme on 4 discs? man, why? i guess there must have been a reason for this, but daaaaamn is it ugly. oh well, i'll still pick em up.

this is the same menu we used for QUADROON and VELVET TRAP, so we used it previously.

yeah, i remember this being mentioned before. wasn't there something about you guys agreeing to use this type of menu on a certain number of films, or something like that? maybe im wrong.

like i said, i'll still buy it. just...y'know....more "film-themed" menu's would probably be more popular. i like the cover, though.
