This is gonna sound paranoid but Olive has been dropping titles from their release schedule for no apparent reason. Maybe they've done research and determined that the dropped titles would not sell. Not saying that BOOGENS is on the chopping block, just hoping Olive doesn't change their mind.

It's still up for pre-order on Amazon so I see no need to be paranoid about it just yet.

Oh, good - thanks for the heads up. If it's up on Amazon then it's officially coming out.

The reason why they dropped a couple of titles on the list was because they couldn´t find any usable material good enough for a release. Maybe they will revisit those when and if they stumble on the original negatives or some 35mm reels in good shape.

"Boogens" is still a go since it already have been mastered in high def.

The titles that they had dropped hadn't even made it to Amazon.com for preorder yet, if I recall correctly.

actually reading the review is making me dizzy! all this reviewer did was like get the imdb credit for EVERYONE involved in the film, while trying to make himself sound like he is Mr know-it-all and a review that could have been told in 4 paragraphs is now told in 8 mamoth paragraphs filled with worthless credit of the cast and crew!

Did the guy liked the film in the end? I dont know!

The site has had the same format for roughly a decade now and I don't see anything ultimately wrong with that. But still, glossing over this review and gauging from others from the past year I can't help but feel that he's begun phoning them in. I've caught him on a number of occasions giving rave reviews for DVD and blu ray transfers that deserve no praise at all.

Also, how many times did he use the word "although" in the review for The Boogens? More than I cared to count!

Well this title wasnt reviewed by the sites owner George Reis, whos been reviewing things there for a decade now, this particular reviewer always goes overboard with everybody including the films janitors imdb credits to make me not want to continue reading. If I see his name as the reviewer, I usually just go to the last paragraph and thats the end of it for me.

I didn't think it was pretty then, either. Some things just don't get better with age.
