Dennis Farina has died

Died today in Arizona, age 69.

He didn't do much that was horror related, other than playing Jack Crawford in Manhunter and appearing in an episode of Tales from the Crypt, but he was a great character actor, often playing mobsters or policemen.

Great actor! I really liked him in Midnight Run, Snatch, and Manhunter. Rest in peace.

Saw this in the news earlier. Another great actor gone! R.I.P.

He also hosted the newer Unsolved Mysteries TV show.

Loved his work.He had a great association with Michael Mann (Thief,Manhunter,Crime Story) as well as top notch work like Midnight Run,Get Shorty,Snatch and Saving Private Ryan. Also a fave if mine on Law and Order. A great shame. Rest In Peace.

"Avi!"

"Shut up and sit down you big balled fuck."

One of the greatest lines in film history. There isn't another actor who could have delivered it (or countless others) as well. He could be imposing, dramatic and hysterical so well it seemed effortless. The movie industry lost a legendary character actor. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. May he rest in peace.

Sad to hear this. Unsolved Mysteries airs on 7Mate here on the weekends and I rarely fail to PVR it.
