So Close

So Close isn't horror but it's a thriller and I think I'll love it anyway (something to do with action femmes ... Shu Qi, Zhao Wei and Karen Mok). There may have been mention of this flick somewhere on site that I overlooked.

You might think it's the HK version of Charlie's Angles but the word is it ain't so: sister assassins tailed by a female cop.

Check out the trailer. Interesting interactive site. Not sure when it's opening in theaters.

Trailer looks nice ... and the chicks are hot. I might get the DVD.

I have the region 3 DVD from Columbia Tristar. Good quality DVD, no extra's unfortunately.

Fun little movie, and Shu Qi and Vicki Zhao look So Hot! And the director knows it too, judging by their outfits

Overall the movie is not that good, but there are some amazingly good little action scenes, but don't go in expecting fights a la Matrix, it's all on a much smaller scale. Plot-wise things are looking a little farfetched and the characters are pretty cliche, but it's made to entertain, and it shows!

This one played at the local art house theater, but I missed it. Partly because after movies get a limited run there, they often play at the Madstone for several weeks. I get a substantial discount at the Madstone. Unfortunately, since they're different chains, the Madstone can't announce whether or not they'll get it until after the limited art-house run. In this case though, So Close never made it to the Madstone.

Both of you are correct

You are referring to the beautifull Shu Qi, she was in The Transporter and yes, she did do one soft-core sexmovie in her very early career. She doesn't do those anymore, and since she's become a very busy and respected actress. But damn she's fine!

Saw it last night.

More than a little far-fetched, overly melodramatic in some spots, and...well, a hell of a lot of fun.

It's a mindless action flick, but I wish American mindless action flicks were half this entertaining. And they do throw you off balance when they

Oh, and Shu Qi is real easy on the eyes. Didn't she do several soft-cores a while back, not just one?

I think she did one soft-core movie, and a movie about the making of a CAT III movie, which isn't a porn movie and features alot of Asian stars. She does get naked in it though
