DESTINY CHILD in FREDDY vs JASON

Maybe this is old news to everyone. I haven't been following the updates, but i had a link to this interview on Kelly R from Destiny's Child who will be in FREDDY vs JASON.

Nice touch of her to say she never watched the films when she was small. (and she never mentions if she has seen them yet, she's still very young) But whatver... I wasn't too excited about this film, .. but here's an interesting article for those who wanna read more info on it.

Take that, mix-it all up with a little bit of "Matrix"-style wirework (!) and something-or-other involving demons, and there just may be a little something in "Freddy vs. Jason" for everybody.

And since we all know Kelly Rowland is black, she'll be doing her 'black' thang in the film too... I guess for comedy relief like in 13 ghosts...

And of course, there's also Kelly Rowland.
"My character, Kia, is really mouthy, [and there's] a scene in the movie where everybody is going to enjoy it," Rowland promised. "It's a part where me and Freddy have got some interaction going on. It's really cool."

That's the new thang - teeny pop stars in slasher flicks. I wouldn't mind too much if Jason (or Freddy) decapitated Destiny's Child within the first five minutes of the film and shoved her head square up her whiny ass, but I don't think that'll happen. Needless to say, my expectations of this film are now very low, but I'm sure I'll go out and see it anyway.

yea man, this is not good news. the black wise ass role is really old. its always the lamest role in every "teen" targeted movie. i always root for them to die

Isn't Knowles in Destiny's Child? Her performance in Austin Powers made me want to kill people, and the movie itself didn't help anything either. So another one thinks she can act... I will not see FvsJ, this is stupid!

Ah, the loud annoying wisecracking black character. Weee! #1 on my list of most annoying out of place horror movie characters. I got physically angry at the character Misfitz mentioned from 13 Ghosts. Seriously I yelled at the screen several times during that miserable piece of crap, most of the time it was because of the wiseass black nanny.

I'm still mad they picked the ugly buck teeth girl from Destiny's Child, if you're gonna put a music star in your movie, at least put an attractive one in there. Where's that Christina Ricci looking chick from the Donnas when you need her? I don't mind people who starred on a tv show on the WB like most people seem to, just make this rapper/singer crap stop. Ah well, at least we got Katherine Isabelle and Monica Keena to look forward to.

I tell you what though, if this "Matrix style" crap at any point has Freddy jumping in the air and the movie stops and then the camera spins 360 degrees around him before the movie starts back up, I'm leaving.

Everyone is excited to see this movie regardless, and yet at the same time it seems they all know its going to suck! Like a flock following the judas goat into the slaughterhouse... I'm staying away from this one.

i generally abhor that role, too, but the black dude in return of the living dead was hilarious. the way he said the dirty f-word and the number of times he said it was stinkin hilarious...it sounded kinda like the BOCK sound a chicken makes, only with an F where the B is.... Usually the characters that mouth off to Freddy end up getting killed so that is one good reason to see this flick!

The thing I can't understand is this: why do they have to make all movies that feature a black person talk in that Snoop Dogg slang and other crap like that? I mean not every person talks like Busta Rymes and the like. Every time I hear of a new movie coming out with a black person I feel I have to go and look for the Websters Guide to Ghetto Talk.
