Supposedly Dimension now has the rights to remake Suspiria.

It was bound to happen. I'm interested in seeing who gets casted.

better this than 6 more Children Of The Corn sequels.

Maybe Dimension will have the Wayans bros work their magic on this and make it the best movie ever

The truly sad part is that I'll go watch it. I guess it's the whole car accident scenario... I just have to look and see how bad it is. It would be nice if a somewhat talented director did his take on it but we all know that it will be some hack.

Actually if you think about it- I highly doubt anyone will try to mimic Darios style, the colors, the abstractness. Its more likely they'll dumb it down and just use the premise, elaborate on it more. In that sense it could work, but it will be impossible to live up to the orignal, so therefore it is a fairly pointless exercise.

well .... I liked the re-make for NOTLD, House on Haunted Hill, 13 Ghosts, and Little Shop of Horrors. I guess it all depends on who they get to direct the movie. I really hope they do this movie justice. It'll be hard to match what Argento did though ..... I doubt they will do a better job. The way things are going they will get Avril Lavigne to be lead actress and Missy Elliot to be the evil teacher Oh the horror!!!

Remember, it's Dimension we're talking about here, I'm not expecting anything above OK.

Eh, Suspiria is my favorite Argento flick ever.
I hope they won't screw it up too much.

Well I remember almost everyone hated The Ring remake before it came out so I'll be interested in seeing how things are if this ever makes it to post-production.

The Ring wasn't being made by Dimension either, who were responsible for Dracula 2000.

Dimension

You can't say the film is going to be bad based on the studio. It's not like they have the same people write and direct all of their films. Dracula 2000 isn't the only movie from Dimension anyway.

I'll probably end up seeing it, but my hopes are very very low. I'd love for them to prove me wrong but dimension just hasn't really done any quality stuff probably since the first Scream and From Dusk Till Dawn IMO. After that, they started making crap like Halloween H20 and Scream 3
