What's Your Pleasure? - (Moonlighting / Supergirl)

What are you gonna get if you trade in your "free gift"?

I'm getting Bad Taste LE from Suncoast. If they don't take it then it's off to Best Buy to get BD LE. Then its off to Borders to get Re Animator!

I still can't decide where to take it. I was thinking Best Buy, but then I realized they probably wouldn't give me much credit because their DVDs are cheap. The horror ones are a bit more expensive, but still.

Suncoast might be where I'm headed. I've heard I can get $26 and that's enough to get something good. I already ordered the Bad Taste LE (and it's on its way!) so I'm really not sure.

Tower would be good if they weren't so fucking expensive. There's nothing worth buying there that's less than $25.

What to do......what to do....

Thumbs up Best Buy gave me $20 for Moonlighting

Hey,
I got the Moonlighting disc and took it into Best Buy for credit. They gave me 19.99 (plus tax!) and I did a straight trade for the Universal DRACULA DVD.

I was, needless to say, happy.

I forgot about those cheap LEs at Best Buy. Perhaps I'll give them a try first.

I have not received mine yet, though I did get an e-mail stating that it's on its way... I hope I get Moonlighting. I've been wanting it, but not so badly as to buy it. Supergirl is a shitty film so if that one pops up with mine I think that I will give it to a friend of mine for Yule who adores that stupid flick. Either way, it's cool. Moonlighting, mine. Supergirl... one less Yule present to buy.

Go... Go... Gadget freebie DVD.

I'm posting this one in two places!

Just wanted to report Suncoast took my "Moonlighting" DVD & gave me $24.99 + tax credit for it! I have now OVER 350 DVDs, so I really couldn't find anything in the store that leaped out at me, so I put it towards credit for Planet Of The Apes when it is released! Never saw the flick, but I heard good things about it & hey...IT'S FREE!

Question

do your Best Buy stores sell used dvds or did they just take them because they're still wrapped? my store doesn't sell used dvds so i didn't even think that was an option. now that i think of it, i didn't know suncoast did either.
did you tell them you lost the receipt or something this really surprises me because i heard somewhere that moonlighting sells for way under $20.
can anyone enlighten me?

The DVD is still in the wrapping & the only stores I can get away with doing that here in Tampa are Suncoast and Wal-mart! There's a bunch of dickweeds working at my local Best Buys & they won't take anything without a receipt!

Yes, the 'ol, "I lost my receipt" and "I got this for a gift...but I have it already" bit usually work just fine!

No, they are the cheapest place around for DVDs period. I meant compared to their other stock, horror DVDs were slightly more. For example, um oh yeah. The Paramount Widescreen Collection ones. In the comedy section they're $19.99, but Pet Sematary is $23.99. Just little stuff like that.

BTW - Got House by the Cemetery for $20 for Moonlighting. THAT's cheap.

well the paramount dvds are higher than anything else period! lol. at least they're coming down. I noticed the new friday 13ths are only $19.99!! not bad especially since the others started out at $29. but now they're down to $24, not too bad, but should be $14.99!!!

Damn, I didn't really think of trading my DVD in for some reason. Moonlighting has just been sitting idle these past few weeks. I do recall K-Mart selling F13th movies for $19.95 so maybe I can trade it there. Question though, can't they detect it is not from there store some how?

Egg...

If a store scans the upc code it may not come up as being in their system....but still they may take it because it is wrapped and easy to resell.

Peter...you got credit at Suncoast...that sucks....I guess I'll just go to Best Buy and do an even trade in for Bad Taste LE for my Moon....disk. Thanx for the heads up.

Hey bud, I found both these flicks for twenty bucks a piece and, well, that's still much. Barebones indeed... nice transfers though.
