Yeah, where are those Phantasm remakes and Jason sequels. There's no where near enough remakes and sequels to classic horror films.

No, we haven't forgot about Phantasm 5, but Bubba-Nosferatu will more than likely be Coscarelli's next project and a Phantasm remake has been said to be put out before a possible 5th Phantasm film so those are what we have to look forward to first.

I really wish Phastam's End would be made. The series NEEDS a proper end! Part IV, as "not as great as the other 3" as it was, left a helluva cliffhanger.

I can see a Friday movie being remade! I see it happening. If its remade with Mama Voorhees as the killer though, it'll be a surprise to no one...unless Jason pops up!!! Oh s**t, that would be dope!

Oh, who am I kidding?!?! I'm all for originality! The recent string of remakes haven't been hitting home with me as it is!

Sadly my guess is Angus Scrimm puts a bit of a time limit on how long they can stretch the "get around to Phantasm 5" schedule. The old boy won't be around forever, and lets face it the franchise ain't gonna work without him. That Coscarelli isn't tripping over himself to get him into another film quick is almost criminal.

As for Bubba-Nosferatu, I remember when the poll was posed for that choice. I really think it went the wrong way, in a big way - vampires have been done to death and back. Gothic, comedy, modern, post modern, blaxploitation, porno, musical, tv series, tv miniseries, sci fi, fantasy, blah blah blah blah. Its been done, done, done, put a bloody stake in the genre's heart and give it a damn rest. As much as Bubba Ho-Tep ranks high on my favorites list, the Elvis meets Dracula bit is still going to be travelling some tired old ground that no amount of "original vision" from Coscarelli is going to escape.

Now Bubba-Sasquatch - combining the ultimate backwoods white trash boogeyman with Elvis. Now *that* has some serious potential, and has the advantage of being relatively virgin soil. Too bad the fan boys had to go for the painfully obvious.

Hey, I don't want to see a Bubba-Nosferatu that much either, but if that's what they want to do then so be it. I'll at least check it out, I guess. Personally, I thought Bubba Ho-tep ran about 45 minutes too long and should've just been a short film. Hell, it was a short story. Didn't Coscarelli just have him star in his episode of "Masters Of Horror" and anyways, Scrimm has been having more time in film the last 2 years than he ever has. He was a stage actor who never expected to be immortalized on film, which God bless you Angus you have, so what's your big fucking deal over it. Granted, I would love to see him in everything, but that's not the point.

Personally, I'll even go so far as saying that a Phantasm remake could possibly go on without him. I'd love to see both him and Reggie in it, but that just won't happen (except perhaps cameos), but I think it does feel dated and has many, many, many, many, many more possibilites left to discover and explore.

That sounds awesome! I can see some amusing material being made from EP trying to survive in the wilderness.
