Unhappy Alida Valli (Suspiria + Inferno) died

Alida Valli one of Italy's greatest actresses died recently (yesterday or today?).Just read it on teletext.Couldn't find details on the net though.Perhaps someone found a link?
She was 84.
RIP

I think I'll watch Suspiria tonight...

I just watched Inferno a few days ago... maybe I should pop in Suspiria and Eyes Without a Face.

Back in her younger days, she was one of the most beautiful women in the world...

I don't want to be offensive or anything, but that's not Alida Valli. That's Joan Bennett, and she hasn't been among us for several years now.

The passing of Alida is tragic, but she was not a young person anymore. I'll always remember her for her stellar work in Suspiria and Inferno, and of course my personal favorite, Lisa and the Devil. What an actress!

She was a wonderful actress.Although she did fine work in the Italian horror films mentioned,she was perhaps best remembered for Sir Carrol Reed's classic film,THE THIRD MAN(often cited as one of the best films ever made) and Hitchcock's THE PARADINE CASE.Really a screen great,she deserved to be better known in the States.
