What happened to Friday the 13th 4-8 on Blu-Ray? - Page 4

i saw the final chapter in HD on EPIX on demand the other day. they had fridays 1-8 all in 1080i. the final chapter looked FANTASTIC and it was a brand new print, probably the master used on the deluxe dvd. i could tell because on all the old dvd's, when jason grabbed the chick and threw her out the window the image color tone shifted dramatically. on the EPIX hd print, it was corrected like how it is on the deluxe dvd.

Not sure what to make of the DE dvds at Big Lots. Usually stuff there is going OOP, so maybe they're clearing out for blu but it doesn't make sense. I think they're dissing the rest of the series. All web info says they are all coming to BD, but all are dated Feb 09. I gave up and bought the dvds for cheap at Big Lots as I'm convinced it will be years, maybe decades before the final blus come out, if fucking ever.

Yeah, I picked up the Deluxe Edition DVDs of parts 7 and 8 at Big Lots for $5 each a couple of weeks ago. Good deal. I purchased the DE DVDs of 1-6 when they were first released, but I waited on 7-8 since they're not my favorites. Currently, I own the DE DVDs of 1-8, the 2004 box set, the Blus of 1-3, the Blu of the 2009 remake, the Killer Cut DVD of the 2009 remake, the theatrical cut DVD of the 2009 remake, and the 2-disc His Name Was Jason documentary. I also own Jason Goes to Hell on DVD and Freddy vs Jason on DVD and Blu. But I want parts 4-8 on Blu!!!

I have the Manhatten boxset still (with the Jason Forever BB bonus disc that was so coveted, and now worthless), the DE's of 4-8, the BD's of 2, 3, Remake and Freddy Vs Jason (waiting for the first to get proper framing, or the BD under $8, which ever comes first), His Name was Jason dvd, Goes to Hell dvd (and laserdisc) and some other custom extras disc I picked up in a trade from someone here. Everything I have on BD, I sold or traded off the dvds for, which I used to own. Also had 3,4 and 7 on the old barebones frist dvds, but sold those when the box came out.
I would also buy BD's of 4-8 in a second. My name is Horse and I'm a Friday addict...

I hated Jason X. Jason looked completely stupid throughout the film (both looks - regular and Uber) and I wasn't fond of the space setting either. Just a bad film IMO.

I forgot about X, which is sad as I'm one of the few who loves it and would instantly upgrade to Blu-ray if it were to ever happen. I of course own X on dvd for now.

It's definitely a guilty pleasure flick for me. I have fond memories of being in middle school and sneaking into the theater to see it. In middle school you don't care about a coherent story, all you want to see is Jason hacking people and a little T&A.
