My copy came a few days ago that I bought a week on amazon.ca and it was in the book style case. I'm not sure what the issue is but to me it would be very hard to jack up you discs with this case but I can see getting finger prints on the edge on the discs.

Sometimes the cardboard is compressed just a little too much.
