Wasn't there a head in the fish tank in Motel Hell also around the same time?

Most effective in He Knows You're Alone, I thought, even though Eyes is a superior film IMO.

The best head in a fishtank scene is in The Silent Partner made around the same time. Can't believe it hasn't been mentioned already.

Her head isn't decapitated, but a woman is drowned by having her head shoved into a fishtank in 1981's Lady, Stay Dead. Though it wasn't released until 1984 I believe.

It's a great film. Ingenious plotting and Christopher Plummer plays one of the scariest screen psychos.
