I'd like to know the same thing. The front cover doesn't show anything about it being cut or uncut.

Savini, you are absolutely dead right here. DW 3 is such cheese and most of the time makes no sense at all, but is pure entertainment nonetheless.

There are so many scenes that crack me up. My favorite though is towards the end when a gang of "creeps" grab at a pile of weapons and one guy picks up a plunger and proudly waves it around as if it's an instrument of death. My friends and I call him "plunger creep."

Bronson looks as if he hated every minute of making that movie, but god bless him and god bless Death Wish 3.

Me too. The DVDs are good enough. Unless the DVD looks horrible, I need more incentive to upgrade. I have too many films on DVD already. I'm not upgrading my collection. Even when it is a film I really like.

I agree with the bunch of you. Part 3 is a blast, but it is on AMC in HD, so much and I have the DVD, so I don't need a copy on Blu.

There's still a slim hope that the cover is wrong, or someone thought the uncut was rated R. I wouldn't hold my breathe or bet on it, but there is a chance however minute it may be.

If it is cut, I'll stick with the pretty uncut anamorphic dvdr I got from trading here. If somehow uncut, I'd be all over it. Let's hope the early reviewers know of the uncut version and can say for sure either way.

Not necessarily a bummer.

The DVD of MGM's Revenge of the Ninja also said Rated R and it's the full, uncut version.

So, there is still hope.

As asinine as this may sound, if DW2 is cut I will pass on all three. If DW2 is uncut I will buy all three. My gut says it will be uncut.

Agreed. Cut/Uncut in this case is NOT a deal-breaker. It's not like we're getting extra blood/violence of Kersey blowing away baddies. The extra rape stuff, I can do without.

I don't see how any fan could pass on having these three movies finally in widescreen in decent prints, over not seeing extra rape.

I know I've already pre-ordered all three. Can't wait to add them to my collection and ditch the previous full-screen MGM discs.

any word on the supplements? original post stated there might be some....

i've only seen the films once each, when i made a point of watching them a few years back. enjoyed the first 4, absolutely. And i agree that part 3 was an off-the-wall blast. part 5 jumped the shark though, reminded me of the simpsons spoof "Ugh...I wish I was dead!" i'd buy these if the price was right. i'd certainly like the original, though.

$15 each at Amazon. Not bad.

It's not about getting some extra rape. It's about seeing the film the way it was intended. There is something offputting about watching films that are "cut". Add to that, DW2 is a revenge flick. The rape is supposed to be unsettling and unrelenting. It's the justification for Bronson's killing spree. As with any great "revenge film", the more horrific the setup the sweeter the revenge.

Oh snap! I thought it was the uncut version when I watched it on instant Netflix. It didn't look bad in HD, fingers crossed this is the same version coming out on blu. It was brutal.
