Hallelujah! That past few years rumors have swirled around this.

Since the original DVD release was pulled to look for better elements I never sprung for the OOP disc even when I was mentally at my collector's peak. I've waited very patiently for this release. (A friend gave me a VHS copy of the footage so that helped tide me over somewhat. )

I'll still prefer the Theatrical Cut I think but this is must buy all the same.

I just noticed that Amazon is stating "NOTE: This disc does not contain the alternate ending found on the previously-issued DVD."

Discussion on blu-ray.com ended up with the determination that the blu-ray does have the alternate ending but the Amazon listing incorrectly merged details from another release with this one (Amazon sometimes combines reviews/details from subsequent release).

I noticed that too. I'm hoping we still get both versions. I'd also say I hope WB didn't screw the pooch on us but then I remember that they released some good Looney Tunes releases this year including surprising us with Mouse Chronicles on DVD AND Blu-ray.

EDIT: I just saw Undeadcow's comment. Never mind.

Well, I'll need it to be a little more official before I replace my order.

I've got the OOP DVD which I purchased when the disc first came out. I'll wait for confirmation of the alt ending before spending on the upgrade.

With a color advertisement like the first post featuring a large print indication of "20 minute alternative ending" I'm not sure how more official things could get. Frank Oz is speaking at a director's cut screening on September 29th so that screening print should offer further confirmation.

Blu-ray review (and for those who are still in the dark, you'll be happy to know that the new release DOES include both versions!):

Is it only coming out on Blu-Ray and not on DVD too?
