^ It does seem strange. If they were to list them on Amazon or other retailers with a $14.99 SRP (most bargain bin titles have a $9.99 or $14.99 SRP), I'd imagine they'd make more money than they are selling them for $5 only at Wal-Mart.

Great news ... Lionsgate is releasing these Walmart exclusive packs to all retailers on 9/4. SRP is $9.98 each so they will likely be priced a bit higher than $5. Still a great deal and no more bin dumping!

If their is a Meijers in your area, they will hopefully have them on the $5 rack soon. They already have all the Echo Bridge sets at the one near me, have had them for almost a year at $5 each (except the 15 packs are 7.50 or 10).

Or maybe the new $5 bin at Best Buy. That Halloween collection of 3 films from EB lists at $14.99 online, but is in that $5 bin at Best Buy right now. Same with the 4 Hellraiser film set. The 6 film Hellraiser lists at $19.99, but is $7.50 at Meijers and Wal-Mart. The Prophecy set of 5 films lists at $19.99, but is in the $5 bin at Wal-Mart, $7.50 at K-Mart or Meijers.

These will stay just as cheap, trust me.

Damn my lack of patience! I paid $15 a piece for the CHUD 2 and Re-Animator packs on eBay a month ago because I couldn't find them in any of my local Walmarts.

Actually found both the Chud II set as well as the ROTLD one at my local WM, they weren't in the cheapie bind, right on display, only had one of each though so I snagged both, might check some other ones this weekend to see if there are more to be found.

I just watched Blood Diner the other night, great transfer! The DVD menu shows the cover art for the Dragon release, so i'm thinking it's the same transfer.

As one who also owns the Dragon release, I think it is from the same print...just far more compressed.

The Lionsgate DVD (NTSC) runs a couple of minutes longer though, so it wasn't taken from a PAL master.

Looks O.K., no extras at all, nada, zilch, not even a subtitle track (for anything in the set)! Too bad, Chopping Mall had a commentary on the solo dvd, but ya can't expect too much for $5.
