ok dvd talk has a review of the dvd.. which iam assuming the picture between blu-ray and dvd will be exactly the same...

I'm happy to report that Boogens looks terrific on Blu. This disc will get plenty of spins, especially around Halloween.

yeah. i recall seeing it in 1983 on the movie channel, I just wish it had at least 2 tv spots.. but thats what you tube is for.. Hey. thanks for the picture update... so it looks good...

The Boogens looks great in HD. It's not reference quality, but probably looks about as accurate as it can coming from the original source materials. It's without a doubt leaps and bounds better than any home video version or TV airing.
Hopefully I'll get a chance to check out the commentary tonight. It is also presented in lossless DTS-HD Master Mono it looks like.

Got mine today. lOVE the slip cover it came with. Now on the transfer,it would have been perfect if not for the white specs that are throughout the movie. but aside from those specs. the picture looks great. pretty sharp too...

also, the commentary is really good. very informative..we learn the movie was filmed between jan and feb of 1981..

wow, check out this tv spot. it looks as though it was made just for the tv spot. as we all know . this never happnes in the movie. no where is the scene where the girls trying to reach for the knife.. wish they would have included this on the blu..
