Deadly Blessing DVD Official Release Date?

I know I read something somewhere about this being released, but has an exact date been announced? Any word on extras? Artwork?
I see nothing about it on Amazon, even though most of the year's horror releases are up for pre-order.
Anyway, I think a film this hotly anticipated deserves it's own thread.

I don't believe a date has been announced yet. At this point, the earliest we might see it would be November.

Shout! is releasing it through their Scream! Factory line. No specifics have been announced as of yet.

I'm starting to think that this one's not coming until next year.

I'm pretty sure this is gonna be a 2013 release. I got a Shout Factory 2012 catalog and the Scream Factory titles for this year end with PHANTASM II and THEY LIVE in November. There's no mention of any others for this year. None for December even. They'll probably hit the road running in January with more.

Typo, I always forget to add the II. Not PHANTASM but PHANTASM II. I hate when I do that. And I always do that for some reason.

Ah, okay.

I guess the original is still with Anchor Bay then. I wish they'd get their act together and release it already. Even if it's barebones...which they are experts at.

Did Anchor Bay take a bath on all their slasher flicks at the height of the dvd craze? I know I personally bought every one they put out, and then again in double features. Or did merging with Starz is what made them change direction?

Sharon Stone was in this, but she looked her best years later in some Arnold flick. Oddly enough she is the new face of AARP, saw a magazine at the doctor's office with her being the cover model.

If you're region free you could always pick up Arrow Video's current release.

Well, not every one of their releases have barebones this year. Some extras missing, yes. But their upcoming Halloween 4, 5, and Mother's Day are set to include extras (Halloween 4 and 5 are having 2 extras from the Divimax editions not being ported over). If however Phantasm is released on Blu, it's most likely to have most of the extras ported over (and it would be nice if we could get the full uncut Phantasmagoria documentary as an extra). But even if it barebones, I'll buy it (though to me, it looks obvious that it will have extras).
