Madman (1982) 35mm Screening in Kentucky (Sept. 22)

It's true! Same theater that screened 35mm prints of Halloween 4 last October, and Nightmare on Elm Street 4 a couple of weeks ago will be screening a 35mm print of MADMAN.

Looooore of the campfire... telling of his har-rah...

And as luck would have it, the screening takes place AFTER I get back from my honeymoon.

I saw this in my local theater 3 times when it first released. Good times.

I'd like to go but getting a sitter to go out solo is a real chore.

There should be a contest, where the winner gets a replica of TP's belt buckle.

I'll take a nude hot tub dalliance with Gaylen Ross instead!

I´m curious if this 35mm will have Anchor Bay´s beautiful blue hue or Code Red´s awful brownish look.

I think the brownish / red look works. The movie does take place in autumn.

I remember reading the deadpit guys first screened it a couple years ago. I wish I lived near there but I'm all the way in Canada.

I'd love to see any classic early 80s slasher on the big screen, and $6 is a fantastic bargain. If you live near there and you don't go, you're a FOOL!

Hope some more of the board members herer can check out our 35mm screening for the 30th anniversary of the cult slasher classic 'MADMAN'... A lot of you probably have never had the pleasure of seeing this amazing little movie on the big screen...this may be one of your last chances EVER! As you may very well know in the next couple of years all movie theaters will be forced to convert to digital projection...which means unless its a mainstream film, or a classic film that is now distributed by a mainstream studio (studios won't renting out their 35mm's anymore), its not going to be available to screen in these theaters. Many classic movies and especially old horror films should be screened in their original format...CLASSIC 35mm!! Come out and support it, tickets are only $6!
