'70s Trash Classic SUDDEN DEATH Comes to DVD!

Eddie Romero's SUDDEN DEATH (1977) finally makes its way to DVD, paired with Marvin Chomsky's LIVE A LITTLE, STEAL A LOT (1975), courtesy of Inception Media Group (a label formed by ex-Image employees)!

Currently known mainly for its amazing trailer (which opens one of Synapse's 42nd STREET FOREVER compilations), SUDDEN DEATH sees tv star Robert Conrad and partner Felton Perry investigating a murder in The Philippines, only to find themselves up against a group of untouchable millionaires who call in the always-great Don Stroud to do their dirty work. A practically nonstop slate of shootings, beatings and explosions follow, and there's even some gratuitous John Ashley and Vic Diaz (what would a Filipino-lensed exploitation flick be without them?).

LIVE A LITTLE, STEAL A LOT is an unexpected biopic of MURPH THE SURF (the film's aka). Robert Conrad is paired again with Don Stroud, this time on the same side, as they attempt a daring, impossible jewel heist from the Museum of Natural History. Never seen it, but I don't know if I've met a heist flick I didn't like.

I share your enthusiasm for the trailer. I've been watching to get a bootleg since 42 Street Vol3 came out. If the reviews of the transfer are positive I'll be picking this one up.

So pathetic when a film like this is better then anything Hollywood is blowing out it's ass these days. If that ain't the ultimate kick ass trailer ever then i dunno what is.
