Giorgio Ferroni's NIGHT OF THE DEVILS (1972) from Raro
One of the most unfairly obscure Eurohorror titles out there, Giorgio Ferroni's NIGHT OF THE DEVILS (1972) finally sees its US debut, courtesy of Raro. A brutal and atmospheric take on the Wurdulak story (used previously as the basis for the best segment from Mario Bava's BLACK SABBATH), the film presents Gianni Garko as a lost traveler who finds shelter at a remote house in the middle of the woods. However, the family who lives there are a paranoid, superstitious lot, but we soon find their fears to be well-placed -- before the film is over he's dealing with witches, vampires and killer children! Hard to see for far too long, perhaps now DEVILS will finally get the reputation it deserves.
Preorder available: Blu: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ag=cinema09-20 DVD: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...SIN=B008H1Q3JG No trailer readily online (I've never even actually seen one?), but here's a (kinda spoilerish) clip: http://youtu.be/il69-hsp4V8

Nice. Hopefully the Amazon pre-order price will go down on the Blu like it did with Murder Obsession.

I imagine it would -- most of the Raro titles drop to the $16 mark before release. I put in my order anyway, so hopefully it follows past trends! I'll be really curious to see if there's any extras.
They have a small graphic of the cover posted on their site; it looks like they're utilizing the Dutch VHS art as the template:

I tried the Amazon link you had for the blu but it says not available now? And the dvd now says January of 2013 on Amazons site?? Anyways I went ahead and ordered directly from Raro Video's site:

As much as I dislike delays (for whatever reason) with so much stuff coming out, my wallet appreciates a little break. But is 3 weeks enough time to get a disc to retailers if they're still tinkering with it?
