Now this is how they should be doing remakes. Remaking the movies that sucked in the first place. This could actually end up being really good.

i'm kinda bummed they arent releasing the original on blu since anchor bay released the original mother's day to go with the remake and same goes for i spit on your grave original and remake.

I wonder if Anchor Bay has an HD master for SNDN and SNDN2. If not, my guess is that creating a new transfer might be more work than they were willing to put into the film. IIRC, the transfer used for the previous DVD releases of SNDN was composited from two sources with most of the gore coming from a VHS master.

agreed if they had a new hd master we would be getting a blu but i guess they dont hence why they are rereleasing the dvd double feature

I would imagine they have an HD master for part 2, as that one looked pretty good on DVD. However, that movie wouldn't warrant it's own blu-ray release. Then again, Troll 2 is on blu-ray and the film has a similar cult following, so who knows?

Title silly! It has just enough of the title to be a remake in title only, like Sorority Row.

couldn't see Ellen Wong anywhere there, though (as a Knives Chow fan, she's one of my primary reasons for seeing this) - unless that was her being stalked in the christmas tree lot? not sure....
