So what is going on here? Did they print like 20 DVD's of these films and that's it?

No, always in the shipping soon mode. It's better than a cancel order but I guess my seller don't have them in stock and wait for Panama Films to send more stock (maybe the Sebastians are on the road and not at their office).

I don't want to alarm anybody ... but these dvd's are not available anywhere. In fact they don't show up on any dvd release list except for Amazon. Not one even being sold on Ebay.

They were released... at least some of them were shipped as I know at least one person on another forum who got his copy of the first 'Gator Bait from Amazon (but not the sequel). Just sound like a distribution problem to me, the Sebastian's self distribute so they probably underestimated the demand.

Exactly, Amazon. Doesn't seen to be anywhere else. Like it's an exclusive or something.

Maybe, my order is via an Amazon Canada Marketplace seller. There was another place to order them but the price was 19.95 so I didn't even bookmark it and I forgot where it was.

I'm not worried as long as it's not ship it's not charged, I guess all will return to normal soon and my copy will be ship and it will reappear were it was.

They distribute themselves so it isn't that special that few place have the disc.

Like Jimmy said, I imagine they just underestimated the demand and didn't ship Amazon enough off the bat. I wouldn't think it's anything to get alarmed about.

I haven't sat down and watched them proper, but the screencaps above pretty much show what the prints are like. They're nicer than the old VHS tapes, but are still analog-based masters -- possibly created by Paramount for cable airings or something. There are also some minor compression issues to be had. So, an upgrade of anything I've seen for the titles, but not as good as fresh scans from original elements would've given us. Each disc also has a Q&A with Beverly and Ferd, along with some ridiculous promos for their "causes."

I just sent a message to Panama Films to know when more copies will be ship. As I said I'm not worried, probably just a question of days or weeks at worst.

They are back up on Amazon. For Gator Bait Part I it said "Only 2 left in stock". I went through the order process getting Part II and something else to get me to the Free Shipping option and it went through, however when I went back to Gator Bait I it now says "May Take 1-2 Days to Process".

Yeah, it was back to out of stock like 2 minutes later. The resellers were all selling them for like $4 cheaper than Amazon, but of course you have the $2.99 shipping so you're only saving like a buck, but I said screw that and went right through Amazon - there's something not very productive going on and it makes me wonder how long these will be around

I got all 3 from amazon but I had preordered them weeks ago. Oh, and for the person asking about Running Cool, definitely give it a try- it's a biker movie where the bikers are the good guys, and it is the film that most accurately depicts the bikers that I grew up around- basically good guys with a little wild streak who are put upon by a society that's seen one too many biker exploitation flicks.

I pre-ordered all 3 as well. Still in the mail, but should be here this week.

I put a preorder in two days ago. And nothing shipped. How I didn't get one of those part 1 "just in stock" dvd's is beyond me. Gator Bait 2 is currently in stock .... and still no shipment.
