Chris LaMartina's WITCH'S BREW from Media Blasters 1/22
Media Blasters finally give a release date to Chris LaMartina and his Midnight Crew Studios' WITCH'S BREW (2012)! When a pair of microbrewin' slackers plow down a witch coven's familiar, a hex is placed on their latest batch causing customers to all meet gruesome, splattery, mildly ironic deaths. The body count quickly rises in the Baltimore suburbs with a rash of auto-cannibalism, chemical meltdowns, and the defecation of an entire gastrointestinal system. Head and shoulders above most indie efforts, WITCH'S BREW, while certainly not flawless, remains a fun ride that would play perfectly with some pals, pizza and, of course, beer.

Cool idea, I'll have to check this one out. Would make a great double feature with Grabbers.
Also, it doesn't look like this is being released by Media Blasters now. Looks like Guilty Pleasures is releasing it now. Last edited by spawningblue; 01-04-2013 at 04:38 PM. |

Isn't Guilty Pleasures one of Media Blasters' "sub names"....like Tokyo Shock and Shriek Show?
But yeah none-the-less....Media Blaster releases are far and few between. Do they even still release Anime regularly? |

Correct, Guilty Pleasures is one of Media Blasters' label names.
Here's a look at the Drinking Game the Midnight Crew guys created for the DVD: http://youtu.be/qQGkWY1SKoY

So great to see this film getting some love! I actually worked on this movie, recording the bulk of the sound, assisting wherever needed, and even shooting some pick-up shots. You can actually see me in the film. (Hint, I'm in the party scene)

I really enjoyed it. I almost surely wouldn't have blind bought it had I not seen President's Day — but this one also did not disappoint.
I also bought the Book of Lore / Grave Mistakes DVD recently, but haven't yet had time to check those out.
