CELIA: CHILD OF TERROR (1988) and SECOND TIME LUCKY (1984) from Scorpion 2/26
A pair of titles from Scorpion Releasing for February:
CELIA: CHILD OF TERROR (1988): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ag=cinema09-20 SECOND TIME LUCKY (1984): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ag=cinema09-20 I haven't seen either. The former is apparently an Aussie thriller from the point of view of an imaginative child, and the latter is Diane Franklin-starring sex comedy chronicling love through the ages starting with Adam & Eve.

CELIA is awesome, but it isn't a horror film even though you're more than likely to find it in the horror section. It's very similar in tone to HEAVENLY CREATURES.

Hmm, already have the old DVD of Second Time Lucky that Platinum Disc released years ago. It's fun in a crappy kind of way, but I'm not sure whether it's worth upgrading for.

Apparently Diane Franklin did an audio commentary and on-camera interview for the new SECOND TIME LUCKY disc.

News update on SECOND TIME LUCKY from Scorpion's FB page:
"Heads up. The SECOND TIME LUCKY master is the same full frame master that was used on the old Platinum disc. Originally, I wanted to release this in widescreen, and was told they had film elements in Los Angeles, so I contacted Diane Franklin and got her interested in participating. But five days before she was to record her very first audio commentary for a DVD (this was way before TERRORVISION), I was informed that all they had was a set of Mag soundtracks with no picture. I could have cancelled the release, but due to Diane's involvement, I didn’t want to disappoint her, so I went ahead with everything hoping I could locate a 35mm element within reasonable time. Unfortunately, I couldn’t. So despite it being the old pan and scan master, it does have her on camera interview, as well as her very first commentary, and the MSRP is really low (12.95). Hopefully, fans of her will still enjoy it, as Diane had a blast participating on it regardless of the master."

Scorpion seems to be having a bit of bad luck lately finding good elements. I suppose it's to be expected since they're dealing with very obscure material and films. Its frustrating but, it is what it is.

My GF and I have three pet rabbits, and I'm always on the lookout for something rabbit-related for Easter viewing. So I immediately pre-ordered Celia when I read the description at DVD Drive-In. I don't blind-buy very often, so here's hoping it's good.
