Just saw Night Claws
First and foremost the sexy lead actress from Neon Maniacs returns to horror in the lead role here, also a botox riddled beer bellied Sherrie Rose stars. Reb Brown and Frank Stallone and a few b-movie stalwarts grace the Ted Prior driven epic by Bigfoot slasher standards.
The ending is rushed and a total copout. Perfect drivel for a bowl of popcorn and a brew late at night.

despite it's cheap nature, I enjoyed the wooden acting and endless cliches of b-movies.

Thanks for letting me know about this, sounds like something I'd enjoy.
On another note, I recently watched Bigfoot County, stay away from that one it was boring and awful in every way. |

Watching this now and wow...not good, just can't understand why it's so damn hard to make a good Bigfoot film. It seems you would follow the standard slasher archetype and substitute a hairy primate. Don't get me wrong this started off promising with a scene reminiscent of He Knows You're Alone and a pretty nifty Sasquatch attack, but then devolved into the standard cliches that plague all these films, i.e. town drunk, moronic sheriff, equally moronic renegade/vigilante Bigfoot hunters and dumb teens.
Hard to believe this was a step down for Reb Brown, the man who made a name for himself playing Elmo on Three's Company and Yor, The Hunter From The Future. Maybe they can do a Yor vs. Sasquatch film at some point? LOL. As it stands Abominable and Night of the Demon remain my top Bigfoot films. |

Also, Demonwarp is classic, however the final twist/reveal always precludes me from considering it a 'true' bigfoot film for some reason. Guess I'm a primate purist. LOL. I've heard good things about Evidence but can't seem to track down a copy and I'm not into downloading movies so I guess I'm shit outta luck. |

I feel torn about Demonwarp too. As much as I like it as is I find myself a little disappointed that it isn't more of a pure sasquatch film. It handles the squatch mayhem in an exceptionally entertaining manner.
I haven't seen Evidence yet either. |

Yep, a little too left field that Demonwarp as it relates to the climax, otherwise George Kennedy, nudity, gore and well choreographed Bigfoot carnage-what's not to like?

For me, the search for bigfoot perfectly sums up life on this planet. The deck is stacked against you and the odds are so long that folding is an understandable response. But hope springs eternal.
It's tough to explain logically. But nothing would make me as optimistic about the future of this planet as the validation of sasquatch. It'd be definitive proof that anything is possible. I could really use that kind of mystical development. I become more cynical and jaded with each passing day. Of course, the appeal isn't ENTIRELY philosophical. I just enjoy films about angry, bipedal monsters. |
