It's more Charlie Band bootlegging I'd assume.

I did...last Friday I bought one along with a Wizard Video shirt. It hasn't arrived yet, but I couldn't help it. I was curious. Plus my tax returns were burning a whole in my pocket. I have a cut box of Return of the Zombies, so I went ahead with that one...plus I want to see if there are any discrepancies in the box art that some VHS collectors have been claiming. But I guess Band already diffused that rumor saying "It was a real wild west back in the early 80’s - there were several print runs done in the states and even in Italy. We have no idea of knowing which print run(s) these boxes came from..."

In other news, you can also now get UNSIGNED Big Boxes at a discounted price. $45! Yup, I guess Charlie Band's signature is worth about $5. HA!

That price seems a little high! I have like 5 or 6 of his signatures on items myself...

How long did it take for you to receive your package? Given the shipping cost, you would of thought one should be receiving this in less than a week, that is if Full Moon have even shipped it yet. I never received any sort of shipping conformation or anything.

Shipped 2/22 and received 2/25.

Let's hope demand is low. I'd like to get a few more but probably wouldn't spend more than $20.

Fantastic,... I'll wait one more week before I condemn myself to deal with their "customer service".

Yeah, I just received my package today. These look to be legit and not reprints.

On my cut box of Return of the Zombies, the little wizard logos aren't real clear. The little circle around the logo is barely visable...its the same on the "new" box I just received. You'd think if its a reprint they would have made the logo a little more clearer similar to how it looks on the I Spit on Your Grave box.

I got a Troll DVD too.

Not really surprising, but it appears that these are NOT original boxes...

Feel sorry for anyone who was duped into spending a lot of money on these. Such a shame.

Uh oh…I can’t watch the video, but I trust Paul’s opinion on this more than my own. Dude is an expert.

Charles Band DISAPOINT!

I wonder if anyone is going to try and get a refund.

Yeah…it was fishy from the start,… but then I really started to question the authenticity when Full Moon started offering them unsigned and unnumbered. I thought there was only a specific limited quantity i.e. 55/216 or 99/123? Aren’t there going to be gaps in the numbers issued on a box if you are offering them unnumbered? I don’t really care that they are not originals though, I bought the Toxie Big box after all, but that also didn’t have a $50 price tag on it.

Sucks for anyone dumb enough to pay for that subscription.

I don't mind supporting retro VHS releases if they are legit releases, but it has to be something I'd want to own or have in my collection or I can't find an original on ebay in my price range. But yeah, there are too many "new video companies" popping up out of the blue that are just putting stuff out that are either bootlegs or releasing public domain titles.

I figured as much. After all this is Full Moon. Who can forget the "FOUND A FEW MORE PUPPET MASTER BOXES IN THE WAREHOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" which were obviously just represses.

These retro VHS releases are just...trendy, and expensive.
