There's no way Shout's going to do separate Scanners DVDs - it'll be a double feature. Or even a triple feature if they can cram one more movie with similar appeal. I think Second Sight might be the winner in the extras dept. - Criterion's been a little stingy in that area lately.

Plus, from what we know, the UK is getting Blu-rays of II and III while the US is getting DVDs of those two.

Probably will also pick up the Criterion edition when it comes out (still not considering it official until I see a press release) but I don't want to sit around until October or whenever they're planning on releasing it to see the film in high-def. This is available now, I'm going to enjoy it now.

Actually, unless Criterion comes up with a super-packed SE (unlikely) I'll probably just stick with Second Sight's release.

My exact thoughts + this release looks great anyway; I paid a bit more than Amazon UK because I bought it at a convention but, imo, it was well worth it! Gotta get the other 2 now...

I got seconds sights release of the first Scanners on friday and watched it yesterday. I'am very pleased with it looks and sounds great and the extra's add up to just over and hour. I'am sure Criterions might be have a slightly better PQ and maybe a commentary .
