A lot of the people using the forums there expect way too much from the quality of old films as well. Had one guy telling people to avoid the French edition of Bride of Chucky because it looked rubbish and had lots of DNR. I've got this edition and in reality it looks really good. If its got DNR then its been done sparingly and I'd consider the blu a definite upgrade to the dvd.
I said that to him only to have him insulted my judgement in quality.

This just in! Scream has announced on Facebook another recent film release: Cockneys Vs Zombies:

"COCKNEYS VS. ZOMBIES.

Coming soon to the U.S. and Canada from us. More details to be revealed. If you liked Shaun of the Dead, this is your cup of (British) tea."

Watched Eye of the Tiger & Exterminator 2. Entertaining as hell double feature and great PQ on both films.

I'll be listening to the commentary on Exterminator 2 later on and watching Cyclone/Alienator sometime this weekend.

Too bad they didn't include the trailer for Exterminator 2. There's some pretty interesting deleted scenes in it.

It is odd though that Eye of the Tiger has an Interlaced transfer, where the old OOP MGM DVD was Progressive...and even had the trailer as a bonus. I thought Shout would have at least included the trailer.

But still, you really can't complain with such a budget set.
'twas $7.99 well spent.

Am I suppose to be excited? Cause I'm not... I just can't understand that move, Anchor Bay is there to release those crappy DTDVD.

Anyway, nothing prevent me to pass, so I will like I do with pretty much all those awfull recent films.

yeah, i can't help but think that including recent dtv stuff in the scream factory line is cheapening it a little. scream factory is better than that. oh well, they can do what they like i suppose. but yeah, i won't be buying any of those either.

I really have to agree with these sentiments and share your opinion.

Cockneys vs. Zombies is actually pretty good. I'm not sure it's one I need to own but it's not bad.

I watched all 4 movies in the 4-Action Packed Movie Marathon in about a 14 hour period between Tuesday and Wednesday. Loved Cyclone and Eye of the Tiger. Not a big fan of Alienator or Exterminator 2 but I enjoyed them to an extent. I've reviewed them for my site if anyone is interested. Not my best written review (doing all 4 at once was a bad idea) but hey, there are lots of pretty screenshots

Cockneys vs. Zombies. I thought the film was mildly entertaining and I guess someone should put it out in the US - but Scream Factory?! It's just so ... average.

However, I'll be looking forward to your review of the 4 Action-Packed movie Marathon - I haven't seen any of these.
