New Evil Dead 2 Blu-ray 04/15/13

I was getting nervous that we'd go a full 12 months without a new version of the Evil Dead films.

Jeeeez... Again?!?

They can re-release this movie a billion times with new extras, but from now on Im done with this movie, the last Lionsgate BD was perfect enough for me.

The only thing that would have me rebuy this one, is if they reinstated some gore.

Im not too fond about Evil Dead 2 these days, seen it too many times the last 25 years. And I think I have outgrown the silliness, as I much prefer the superiour original.

I wish they would use the money they put on all these re-releases on something previously unreleased instead.

This is a UK release, you know that right? They didn't get the 25th Anniversary Edition like North America did, only the original release.

I wonder if this will be straight across or if the discs will differ in anyway?

Glad to hear it's a UK release because I just bought the 25th anniversary edition and own the awful AB transfer blu ray.

Well it appears this blu-ray will feature three new documentaries according to blu-ray.com.

No, These (new) featurettes are on the US 25th anniversary.

It's just a direct port of the LG disc for the UK.

Yeah I'm looking at my disc now. I don't see "Swallowed souls: The Making of Evil Dead II."

Here's the Amazon.uk link. According to the Amazon page, it's Region B. I just checked my disc and it contains all of the same features.

Just watched the new 25th anniversary edition Blu Ray, and can honestly say WOW!! What a huge improvement over the AB Blu. For anyone on the fence about re-buying this blu, you should not hesitate! I noticed much more detail, and amazingly enough, realized Sam Raimi had a cameo!! haha I've been watching this movie since the 80's and somehow never noticed that!!

Correct. A friend of mine bought this new UK version and I compared it to the US 25th and they are identical except for the menu.
