Well their last email reply said this:

Quote:
we will be sending a replacement cover shortly.

Sorry about the inconvenience and we are working on a solution.
So I'll hold them to their word...

Good. They never replied to my email asking for proper packaging, but at least they followed through.

I ordered mine late and got it a couple days ago - disc was loose and scratched up a bit on the back- but the case was okay. Basically was in the same crappy envelope as you guys with a small loose piece of bubble wrap inside it. Im sure it will be okay but just kinda weird considering how much they were charging for this.

I received mine today and it only came in a regular paper envelope. No padding. No tape. It just had the pin tabs closed.

The case itself was only lightly dinged up and the paper sleeve survived the ordeal even with a dead center hit. It's a miracle it didn't come to me in worse shape and I'm very unhappy with that packaging. It's like winning a round of Russian Roulette. While I'm glad I didn't lose I wouldn't want to play it again.

I gotta say - some scratches on the dvd with poor packaging but played fine- this is the best worst video to watch as a double feature with a linnea film - I had never seen this and cannot say it is truly worth the price - but dang I had a good time watching this sandwiched between return of the living dead and night of the demons tonight <: luv yea linnea!

I did get a replacement cover in the mail today, which thankfully arrived fully intact and undamaged.

It's a different print of the cover than the first one though, and actually looks better...

The previous one was a "bright red" and this one is a slightly darker red and not as overly bright. It also seems like a pro-printed cover. The original damaged one that I got almost had the feel of being an ink-jet matte printout or something.

So, all is good here.

Woohoo - glad they came through for you!

But I think you need to add the icon after "actually looks better" comment

I'm glad these seem to be selling well. I don't know if I've ever mentioned this here before but I actually almost got into some trouble over this movie, which luckily was nothing more than a friendly email from Linnea's manager. I designed a DVD cover for it - well really I just reworked the old VHS cover into a DVD and used a different font on the title and added credits and Anchor Bay legal stuff on the bottom. Just for fun really, I like designing covers and I had a VHS rip on a DVD-R, so I whipped one up. I liked the way it looked but make the mistake of posting the whole cover on my site, and someone on ioffer started using it - how is that still a site by the way, isn't it entirely made up of bootleg copies of movies? Anyway, her manager asked me to only post a smaller image, and I did, but that image is still out there. I feel bad actually, because people are still using the cover to sell the movie, which I never intended to happen, didn't really think it through though I guess:

SO! You think you've had the last laugh do you! We'll just see about that! I'll just have to get Linnea to send me a naked autographed picture.

That's messed up. I wonder if they have been hassling that seller.

Anyone watch this with the commentary yet? It's pretty horrendous. Kenneth J. Hall does what he can to recall memories, but Linnea spends the entire hour either repeating what he says or dropping such insightful tidbits as: "Oh yeah!" "Yes!" and "That's riiiiight!" Not to make accusations, but she also sounds drunk.
