The other was Dawn of the Dead, which I considered voting for because so many seem to think it's a "good remake", when I think it was a pile of shit.
i dunno if i'd go as far as saying "pile of shit", but i agree that i don't see what all the fuss is about. i watched it for the first time since the theater a few years ago, and was not impressed much at all.

The Hills Have Eyes remake was so laughable that it easily gets my vote. I don't bother with many remakes, but gave this one a watch due to the quality of Haute Tension. Big mistake. As lousy as the ANOES remake was, at least it had Rooney Mara.

I couldn't even sit through all of the Halloween remake, so I cannot, in good faith, vote for it.

But The Wolfman? All that talent, all that money, all that legacy--and that's the end result? Such a waste. Gets my vote.

I like The Wolfman, or at least enough to buy it for $6 on blu ray. It looks beautiful and storywise it is certainly no worse than old Hammer Films. For all of the condemnation I thought it was leagues better than those other Universal shitstorms, Van Helsing and The Mummy. Speaking of which, why isn't THAT on the poll???

There are several bad ones listed - but Prom Night has to be the lamest of the bunch

tHE STEPFORD WIVES remake was so bad I essentially stopped seeing ALL remakes after it for a long time.I still see VERY few.

Would we really consider THE RING 2 to be a "remake" ? It's NOT a remake of the second RINGU film,it's just a (bad) sequel to the American THE RING which IS a remake.

Without question Prom Night is the worst on the list, only The Fog can even compare for that level of shittacularness. I give PN half a point for the "hat of invisibility" scenes and how hard I laughed at them, and still crack up to this day if I think about it.

Why isn't The Fog remake on the list? That easily gets my vote.

It didn't make the top 20. The Mummy certainly would have had boxofficemojo not classified it as an action adventure film. That's how bad of a remake it was: it didn't even count as a horror film any more!

Raiders of the Lost Ark was a great action film. The Mummy had its brains pulled out through its nasal cavity with a long hook. There was nothing about it that I hadn't seen done better before.

It should have been a horror film.
