Chernobyl Diaries

I can't believe there isn't a thread about this yet. From the trailer this looks to be a lot of highly stylized fun. I'm excited to see what Bradley Parker can do in the directing chair, the things he has been involved with in the past have been super sharp looking. An I suspect if you let a visual effects guy make a movie about mutants the mutants are probably going to be awesome. Kind of weird that this is coming out a week or two before Prometheus. Seems like Prometheus would kind of steal its thunder.

Edit:
I'm just assuming this is about mutants. You can't tell from the trailer.

Saw this today. It's an original premise that I thought they exploited well enough. It's not going to blow you away but you can do much worse.

Going this afternoon, will post my thoughts later.
EDIT: Yikes, the reviews are just terrible but I'll see it anyway for the curiosity factor.

Much promise which rapidly fizzled out, I thought it was derivative and nothing special.

I saw it earlier this week with the wife and kids. Kids liked it, I thought it was ok. Doubt I'll watch it again. I do however like the idea of a horror film in the area surround Chernobyl. I've seen some TV programs about that area and find it highly fascinating.

The ending was completely ripped off a much superior British film that I won't mention so I don't ruin this for anyone.

Finally got around to watching this, and thought it was pretty good. Nothing I need to buy or think I'll rewatch, but still a decent little horror flix. I would recommend it.

I just checked this out for the second time after picking up the blu-ray. I actually liked it more on the second go around. The premise is similar to the Hills have Eyes, sure it's not as good but It's not bad in its own right.

I found it to be worth a watch. Loved the setting, but the story is nothing all that new. I too kept thinking about The Hills Have Eyes.
