You know DVD-fanatic-9, I really wish you would take some TIME with your posts instead of just haphazardly slapping them out on your keyboard...

Off the top of my head and I will more than likely add to this.

Jaws-When Richard Dreyfuss dives under the boat, retreaves the tooth and the head pops out. Scared me to death as a kid.

The first time we see the monster in Hammer's Curse Of Frankenstein.

The opening scene set aboard the boat in Lucio Fulci's Zombie.

The first zombie sighting next to the deserted mine and the nightmare sequence in Hammer's Plague Of The Zombies.

I agree with most that have been mentioned so far.

Some others,

The Descent - The first reveal of the monsters in the camera, what an effective jump scare!

Halloween 3 - Atkins can't stop the commercial playing "Stop it. Turn it off. Stop it! Stop it! Stoppp itt!" Such a great hopeless ending.

The House on Haunted Hill (Remake) - The creepy opening in the asylum. I actually like this movie as well and think it is one of the better remakes.

Session 9 - The scenes where the patient's tapes are listened to. Yes, crazy people and asylums frighten me!

Blair Witch Project - When they hear the noises outside their tent and then wake up to find the stick symbols decorating their area.

The Changeling, Insidious, Drag me to Hell - Seance scenes. I love when seance's are performed on film, can anybody think of any other great ones?

City of the Living Dead - Girl throws up her entrails.

When I saw this in the theater, the projectionist had the lights come up to full bright at this point, instead of the usual slow fade up during the credits. It was very jarring. Nice touch.

City of the Living Dead's was pretty short.

Argento's Trauma had a bit longer one.
