Both The Brood and Scanners have the Criterion Collection logos when searched on the iTunes store, which means both will likely be coming to Criterion Blu-ray in the fall (probably October?).

I know its more or less assured that they're releasing both of these, but I still get super pumped with each new piece of evidence that actually supports that fact. super cool!

I'm so over this for both The Brood and Scanners. Me, my brother, and our Mom saw both films theatrically in 1978 and 1980, at a old movie theater that is now a Sherman Williams paint store, about 15 minutes away from us. Since me and my brother are older, I'm the one who is the biggest horror film fan, and my brother, on the other hand, is more into Action/Adventure movies, or other genre's besides Horror.

I think it's time to get me a blu-ray player.

Edit: And maybe a TV as well ..

Totally agree, a great movie. Recommended to anyone who hasn't seen it (specially Twilight Zone fans).

October releases have been announced.

Even though we didn't get the Cronenberg titles that were speculated, we ended up getting something even better (in my opinion): The Uninvited!

Fantastic film that I can't wait to own on blu-ray! I'll probably pick up I Married A Witch and upgrade Eyes Without A Face as well.
