I don't think it looks terrible, it just doesn't look finished. It seems like there should be a pumpkin or something blended into that image. At the moment it just looks bare.

I agree 100%. Cundey's involvement makes this a dream release for me.

Digibook + original artwork would have been something special. Too bad.

Yeah it's pretty bad and I hope they change it, but i have a feeling they won't and that is what we will get. Either way, like others have said, it won't stop me from purchasing this. And I truly hope they include the TV cut with this release. If they are making us double dip on Blu it better be the complete package!

Trust me, it'll never be the complete package. This is Anchor Bay's baby and they will be milking this cow for years to come.

Nathan Thomas Milner, who does a lot of the Scream! Factory cover art, did do artwork for the original Halloween so just for shits and giggles, here's what we most likely would have got if Scream! Factory had the rights to the original Halloween:

Why does Annie look like Bruce Willis with a wig? Lol. It's still better than Anchor Bay's cover. For god's sakes, just use the original theatrical poster.

Nope. Anchor Bay hasn't revealed the specs yet. I'm willing to bet the only "new" inclusions on this release are going to be the new transfer and new commentary. This is modern day Anchor Bay we're talking about here. I'm not getting my hopes too high.
