What a blast. I'm so glad the boys and I made the trek up there. They loved it. The print was beautiful and we scored some cool sketches at the comic shop. What a thrill to see that on the big screen and with a crowd that were as big of fans as ourselves. Anyone else ever thought Killer Klowns would get a thunderous applause when the end credits hit?

You were there? Nice! Too bad we didn't meet in person. Everybody seemed to have a great time, although from what I hear this was the most sparsely attended Spooktacular we've had at about 50 paid tickets. Usually we average about 75 to 90 (with more than 300 for King Kong Vs Godzilla!) but this time we got zero notice from the media. Maybe having Killer Klownz in a theater is in bad taste so soon after the Colorado shootings?

Yeah there definitely weren't as many people as I expected. That's too bad as it was such a nice presentation and fun evening.

Thanks so much for coming! While the turn-out may not have been huge, everyone there seemed to have a great time, reacted enthusiastically to the film and trailers (the Tom & Jerry cartoon getting a round of applause was nice, too), and we got a lot of smiles and "Thank you"s as folks were leaving. For us it's all worth it if people have a good time and want to come back for the next one.

My wife told me about you and the boys, and how much fun they seemed to be having. Always nice to see families brought together by the love of goofy old movies.

Next show will be on October 27th at 8pm, with a 35mm print of 1972's TALES FROM THE CRYPT. S.R. Bissette will be giving a free talk/slide show on horror and EC Comics of the 50s at 4pm, the New England paranormal investigation group Earthbound Phantom will give a "Paranormal Primer" talk at 5pm, and we'll do the Spooktacular at 8pm. In addition to that, there'll be another comic signing at Comic Boom in the afternoon. Should be a fun day.

All of the weekends in October were booked solid this year, unfortunately, and the ones that were free we already had prior engagements. At the moment we're planning to have one in the springtime. Quite a few other locals were as equally surprised as you, but it's always good to know that there is still interest for more of these out there.
