Halloween Best Release Vote

Okay here is a thread for anyone that has seen each of these to vote on their favorite. It would seem the dvd THX Anchor Bay release and the two blu ray releases are the main releases folks are arguing over which is actually the "best" version. FYI I know the Divimax is AB as well but I forgot to put the AB in there

THX had the best colors on the transfer

Like the new one, best detail and look overall. Hate ab's forced trailers, and I wish they would kill the menu music but it's the nicest smoothest presentation with the lively commentary

Well I own the 2003 version and no one has voted for it yet....

Looks like it's time to upgrade.

I have the Blu-Ray from 2007. Looked at the back cover for the 35th Anniversary, and I didn't buy it. Not worth $20.00, and I think owning that and the Limited Edition DVD with the separate TV version DVD is enough for me.

Never bought this on any version so the Halloween AB 35th Anniversary Edition is good enough for me.

I also have the German Blu-ray release from Concorde which was essentially the original AB version with much less black crush and without the contrast and colour boosting but even so the 35th edition is miles ahead of either.

DVD (spit!) it's 2013 folks, anyone who thinks that a DVD can compete with a BD is deluded

Do you mean overall or what? The THX still has the best colours in my opinion, but the newest Blu-ray overall wins in the PQ department because of the excellent detail that the hi def transfer delivers.

Yea it would be which one you prefer overall - mainly going for the one you feel has the best picture overall but extras and audio can be part of your decision as well
